Courses & Additional 百姓彩票注册

We’ve learned from you that every library has different projects and different needs. Learn how we can provide additional preservation options using bepress Archive, specialized trainings at our own bepress University, and extra support for your journals and conferences via DC Publishing 百姓彩票注册.

bepress Archive

While bepress offers an extensive and secure infrastructure to safeguard your content, we know that many institutions are interested in the added guarantee of having a copy of their own archives. Bepress is partnering with Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) to provide cost-effective and dependable storage of your files on a highly reliable cloud server. You have full access to all of your files at all times.

  • After a file is sent to S3, Amazon performs a data integrity check to ensure that the file residing on S3 matches the file on the bepress platform exactly.
  • Amazon S3 redundantly stores your files on multiple servers across multiple facilities. The service is designed to sustain multiple server failures by quickly detecting and repairing any lost redundancy.
  • Amazon S3 performs checksums on data uploaded to the service and repairs any corruption using redundant data.
  • Amazon S3 is designed to provide 99.999999999% durability of files.

DC Publishing 百姓彩票注册

DC Publishing 百姓彩票注册 is designed for journals and libraries ready to take the next step. This add-on service best suits journals that have a solid editorial board and have been publishing a year or longer. Participating journals benefit from professional publishing infrastructure and services previously reserved for large publishers.

The program connects journals to dozens of library and publisher tools in a single step: we handle all the memberships, legal agreements, and fees; carriy out the technical set-up, follow-up, and troubleshooting; and orient the library and editors to this new landscape.

Because journals can have different sets of needs, we offer two tiers of Digital Commons Publishing 百姓彩票注册.

Digital Commons Publishing 百姓彩票注册 – Professional

1. Preservation in CLOCKSS and Portico
Journals are included in CLOCKSS and Portico, both recognized long-term preservation archives founded by leading libraries and commercial publishers.

2. Library discovery platforms and link resolvers
Articles are delivered to library discovery platforms: OCLC (Worldcat), Ex Libris (Primo), ProQuest (Serial Solutions / Summon), and EBSCO Discovery. Additionally, we list journals with KBART, ensuring they are exposed to link resolvers.

3. DOIs
Journals are included in CrossRef, and we create, assign, display, and register DOIs for published articles in accordance with CrossRef’s requirements. The journal needs to comply with CrossRef’s outbound linking requirement, and we can help suggest some easy tools.

4. Journal indexes and databases
Once the journal has applied and been accepted to indexes and databases (such as EconLit, EBSCO, Westlaw, ISI, or any local or national archives), we manage automatic metadata feeds, as well as full text feeds when possible. In addition, we register the journal in Ulrich’s and obtain an ISSN for the journal.

Digital Commons Publishing 百姓彩票注册 – Premier

Premier tier includes everything included in Professional plus the following:

5. Strategic Advising
Journals subscribing to the Premier tier of Publishing 百姓彩票注册 are eligible for strategic advising services which support editors with topics related to indexing, journal improvement and growth.

6. Journal Impact Reports
Editors will receive a yearly Journal Impact Report, which compiles data from a variety of sources to help editors understand the impact their journal is having. Data included in the report details: downloads per year, notable organizations that are engaging with the journal, submissions per year, rejection rate, average turnaround time per year, and altmetric data.

7. Typesetting
We work with third-party vendors to offer 400 pages of custom typesetting to journals subscribing to the Premier service. This service includes page proofs, two correction cycles, electronic image conversion/sizing, final web/print PDFs as needed, full-text XML and outbound linking for DOIs.

8. Connection to additional third-party production services
For support with more complex production processes—outbound linking for DOIs, XML conversion, deposit in PubMed Central, copyediting, custom typesetting, print on demand, and print production—we can refer the publisher and/or editors to third-party vendors offering production services.
